Campus Health at IU Indianapolis
Fall 2024

Background
Here, you'll find both the mission statement and a situational analysis of the subject of this marketing plan. Both artifacts frame the direction of this project, serving as useful background information to the final marketing plan.
IU Indianapolis Campus Health's mission statement centers on the promotion of student well-being through accessible healthcare services, including vaccinations, primary care, and women’s health. The focus on health advocacy underscores our commitment to supporting a diverse student population and fostering a healthier campus environment for everyone.
IU Indianapolis Campus Health offers a wide range of medical services, a convenient location, strong partnerships with local health systems, and tailored sexual health resources, making it a vital resource for students. However, challenges such as limited hours, long wait times, reliance on external referrals, and minimal promotion to new students need to be addressed. Opportunities for growth include expanding services, partnering with wellness programs, offering extended hours to accommodate students schedules, and providing employment opportunities for students. Threats like budget constraints, policy changes, and competition from virtual services, such as Timely Care, pose challenges. While Timely Care offers 24/7 virtual access and mental health support, IU Campus Health differentiates itself with in-person care, preventative services, and stronger student connections, making it well-positioned to meet broader health needs despite economic and regulatory uncertainties.
