Campus Health at IU Indianapolis
Fall 2024
Executive Summary

The executive summary gives the board of directors a snapshot of our marketing plan and entices them to choose it.
This marketing plan introduces a new service opportunity at IU Indianapolis Campus Health, which consists of a contraceptive vending machine, aimed at improving student access to affordable and essential health resources. This initiative supports health education, promotes safe practices, and addresses gaps in student healthcare by providing discreet, low-cost contraceptive options compared to retail prices. By expanding resources, increasing awareness and removing barriers to access, the vending machine empowers students to make informed health decisions, enhancing both convenience and privacy. It also complements existing campus health services, reinforcing the university’s commitment to student well-being and creating a safer, healthier campus environment.
In addition to improving accessibility, this service highlights the importance of affordability, helping students save money while prioritizing their health needs. However, the plan also considers potential challenges posed by state and national policies, particularly recent changes in reproductive health laws, which may impact implementation and compliance. To navigate these constraints, IU Campus Health will closely monitor regulatory updates and adapt strategies to remain compliant while advocating for student health. Despite these challenges, this initiative aligns with the university’s mission to support a diverse and inclusive campus community through enhanced resources and proactive health education.
